Evening and Weekend Outings

Evening and Weekend Outings enable Starfire members to interact with the entire community during prime social hours. Ninety-five percent of Starfire activities are held during the weekend or after 6 p.m. weekdays.

Service Outings

Service Outings provide members with opportunities to volunteer and contribute their energies and talents to other local organizations, giving them a chance to give back to the community.

Recreational Outings

Recreational Outings can include a day at King’s Island or dinner with friends. Starfire members attend a wide variety of social activities including arts & culture events, community based events, seasonal activities, as well as team and spectator sports.

Consistent Year Round Activities

Consistent Year Round Activities, available at Starfire, keep people with disabilities connected to the community. Starfire offers 90 varied, convenient and accessible outing opportunities every month at a wide variety of locations throughout the Greater Cincinnati and surrounding areas.

Extended Outings

Extended Outings offer rare opportunities for individuals with disabilities to enjoy an overnight vacation, while offering valuable respite to family members and caregivers.

Starfire U

Starfire U is a new, post-secondary opportunity focused on providing relevant educational opportunities for young adults with disabilities. It combines Starfire’s expertise in advancing socialization with traditional special education techniques. This research-based program will have a positive lifelong impact on the lives of people who experience disabilities.
