Starfire enables individuals with disabilities to become active and vital members of the
community. Since 1993, Starfire has offered innovative programs that address the
emerging needs of teens and adults with disabilities.
Our Approach
A priority of Starfire is to impact social isolation by teaching individuals
with disabilities skills to become part of their community. Every program provides
opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn and practice their social
skills and create strategies for interacting with the community.
Since Peer Groups are the basis for many social networks, Starfire creates
opportunities that allow their members with disabilities to interact with friends
their own age. The fun filled events create the opportunity for lasting friendships
and strong community networking. Starfire’s programs are divided into the
following groups:
Teens – Age 13 to 21
Young Adults – Age 22 to 30
Adults I – Age 31 to 44
Adults II – Age 45 and up
Our Mission
To enrich the lives of teens and adults with developmental disabilities through unlimited opportunities that build independence and community inclusion.
